Abstract

So Wrong, He's Right

So Wrong, He's Right

Like a shot in the dark

Ringing through the still,

Silent night

Over the Airwaves

Like The Eagles

With a peaceful easy feeling

Ever trying

To take it to the limit

Unlimited, however

Save ourselves

Should, but we don't

So we just take it easy

Running on down the highway

Blind to the light

With no end in sight

Like lost souls

No longer strangers

To the dark

Weather-beaten and sleepless

Veterans they made us

Former angels

Now dirty as the streets

We run

Away from the laws

Creeping captivity

Stalking our invisible footfalls

Freedom snatchers

Brandishing bullets, badges

To protect and serve

Some systematic agenda

Built to quell the sound

Liberty sings and teaches

To we the people

Illuminated erudite, the freethinkers

Patriots, outlaws, anarchists, antiheroes

Made criminals by birthright thoughts, ideas

Of opposition opposing

Authority, conformity, majority

For all the right reasons

Genuine altruism a crime

Genocide to reason

For the advancement

Namely betterment

Call it progress

Of an entire species

Humankind: can't be both?

Guess we lost our way

Somehow

Now we willingly bow

Salute with honor

We praise our shackles

Overall broken we surrender

Capitulated fully we're thankful

To our slaveowners

For the gruelly pittance

They endow us with poverty

Proud American squalor

Ripe for all to pick, eat

Starve

Disintegrated values, rights

Voted away by mock-democracy

So as to feel safer

In our foreclosed-on homes

Domestic terrorists next door

Cooking methamphetamines

For your children

Misled youth

Degenerates, junkies, fools

Born beautiful and innocent

Under a Government thumb

Turned ugly by societal standards,

Social-norms, pop-culture

Ignorant by choice, bad influence

Dying together in the gutters

Of every sad little town

In the country

Land of greed

Home of the enslaved

Nationalistic nonsensical nostalgia

Americana decayed, consumed

By the elite and the dregs

Alike like a brand-new Reich

On LSD we see

Don't blink or think

I saw the light

I know it's right

That's why I write

That's why I cry

That's why they lie

They just want us to die

Quiet at night

Without a fight

So wrong, he's right

So long, goodnight
