The Ark Of Noah

And the news of the deluge was announced beforehand,

But none paid heed other than some people in the land,

Even Noah was dishonoured when he warned them of  the torrent,

Of the wrath of the Lord that could descend at any moment.

A savior of the mankind, a great saint was he,

The ark of Noah saved you and me.

 

Trouble descends on mankind when immorality prevails,

But out of his love, the Lord sends someone who avails,

When Noah warned the people about the destruction to come,

Most mocked him out of ignorance, other than some,

Even after being mocked he didn’t halt to plea,

The ark of Noah saved you and me.

 

By the order of the Lord, a giant ark he created,

Continued to hate him, the people who hated,

Noah asked the people to come in his ark,

To come to save themselves when the flood starts,

Of the lives of coming generations, he held the key,

The ark of Noah saved you and me.

 

And finally, the day came when the torrent began,

Those who had believed, towards ark they ran,

Only a periphery is being told in this rhyme,

It rained like never before, for a long period of time.

Through the boat’s windows, destruction they could see,

The ark of Noah saved you and me.

 

None survived who didn’t come in the boat,

All happened the same as prophet Noah had told,

Noah is there in Genesis, as Nooh in Quran,

He is known as Jalpalawan Manu in Puraan.

He is foremost man in every family tree,

The ark of Noah saved you and me.

 

The immorality was washed away by the flood,

But it was resurrected for it is in human’s blood,

To say an offence in the very next line I am trying,

“Why did I save these people?” Noah must be crying,

Then why not adopt morality and repent to be free?
