“I Still Stand”
“I Still Stand”
Since I was young, I dreamed in silence,
watching the moonlight glow,
while the world kept shouting, “It’s too far,”
I just wanted to go.
With little steps but steady courage
I started my own mission,
even when fear would call my name
louder than my ambition.
I fell so many times to the ground,
scraped my hands on the way,
but I learned that the one who truly fights
was not born to walk away.
The night would whisper of failure,
the day would tell me, “Try,”
and I learned that the bravest heart
is the one that won’t say goodbye.
I don’t want empty riches
or fame that fades with the sun,
I want pride inside my conscience
and a fire that never is done.
If the wind tries to push me back,
I run with greater speed,
because the one who chases his dreams
won’t give in to defeat.
Today I walk with faith in my eyes,
tomorrow I’ll rise even more,
because the one who builds his story
doesn’t live in before.
And though the road is long ahead
and twice as hard to win,
I’d rather die while trying
than never know what victory’s been.
