I Saw Life In A Tree
I Saw Life In A Tree
I saw life in a tree.
I saw
Three generations of leaves
Intertwined,
Adjusting themselves with
Each other side by side.
I saw leaves
The rusty ones,
Turned pale green – yellowish
And hard as a rock
As if life hit from various angles
To make them sharp enough
For survival till the
Very last breath.
I saw leaves
The fully grown ones,
Stayed in a perfect green attire
Trying to be fit in between
The other two stages of life.
It has the fragility of the fresh ones
And solidity of the rusty ones.
I saw leaves,
The boldly young ones,
A bright version of
Green fluorescent.
Begging to fly
In the scent of
Young life,
Unaware of
Unpredictable storms
That passes by.
I saw
The leaves
Keeps changing
But the tree stands
Tall, hanging
All of them in the arms
To grow old.
