I haven't seen you in a while and I've got a lot to say,

A lot has been going on and nothing seems to make sense,

I used to be fearless, but now the smallest thing makes me restless.

Two days ago,

I saw your favourite chain lying on the floor,

It didn't shine the way it did before,

But, a glimpse of it made me miss you even more.

I opened the door and I saw your picture on the wall,

Something entered my eyes and from them did tears fall,

Maybe that was a lie and nothing entered my eyes,

I guess it was just my heart trying to say, "I wish you were here."

I try to see you in every person I meet, but no one comes close,

No one can have a heart like yours,
