I Have Forgotten

I have forgotten.

Forgotten the way the sunlight seemed magical.

Forgotten the time nature was extravagant.

Forgotten when life itself had another definition…

I would sit at the edge of the water, watch the sun as it fell to meet the horizon.

I would watch the red swirl into the clouds.

I would wait for the purple to merge into the picture.

And I would sit there every day and try to define that beauty.

But then I didn’t…

I felt the water, I left the sky.

I stopped believing it was special and turned my back. But I didn’t realize, Nothing is special.

It's only so if you believe it to be.
