A visit from My Grandmother

My Grandmother may not be the normal stereotype grandmother

She's not that old and gives me one idea after another

She looks healthy and her appetite's good

I don't think my grandmother sounds like your's would

Ones in a while she comes and visits

My favorite time of the year is then

We shock up the kitchen and ever more the house

And oh dear she will not stand a mouse!

My grandmother isn't scared of anything

Bugs and bats can come and go and the bees can sting

But I really am at a loss when she goes

My heartbeat slows

But oh ! she'll come again
