Tragedy

I felt a funeral in my brain.

I felt a funeral in my brain.

The last message was an unsaid goodbye,

With shivering hands and gasping breaths.

It was meant to be a pause,

That turned to a full stop.

A chapter ended, I thought,

With you as the last sentence.

I still remember the hypoxia,

With you as an empty oxygen cylinder.

You were there like a doctor,

All I needed was a nurse.

The silence was not because of peace,

But death.

While all attempts to revive 'us' were in vain,

I felt a funeral, in my brain.
