I FELL IN LOVE
I FELL IN LOVE
Unbelievable, but true, that one day
I fell in love, with a shadow on a window
It was just a dark outline, of a baby standing
On a window sill, of a house on the tower
The tower, which was opposite to mine
Maybe the mother, was playing with baby
Made her stand, against the closed window
So blissful it was to watch, the play
The baby’s hand and body movements
Though, it was like a silent movie, no sound
Still filled my lonely heart, with much warmth
Then it became my habit, to watch daily
Same time, same place, in the same way,
Suddenly one day the window remained dark
Hours I waited in vain, but there was nothing
My heart broke, crushed into a million pieces
Maybe the family moved away from there
This is the way, my love story ended in pain
A deep love with a shadow, unknown, unseen,
