I Better Forget
I Better Forget
I better forget these two years of the Covid epidemic
'Covid' would be a new word for me, then;
Which I had never heard before.
I would forget what a sanitiser is,
And masks and gloves, I would say-
Are the belongings of the surgeons only.
I better forget my 'study from home' theory
I would disbelieve, then-
That exam could be passed without any labour.
I would forget how to cheat knowingly,
And open-book examinations, I would say-
Are the habits of the cheaters only.
I better forget deaths and pains of the world
I would have never suffered, then-
The distance from my loving ones.
I won't know what an economic crisis is,
And business failures, I would say-
Are the prototypes of the losers only.
