I Am a Poet

I am a poet.

I can predict the future.

I can give shape thoughts into a beautiful poem.

I am the master of time.

I correct my work the moment I spot an error.

Hence, I too am an infamous deity.

I bestow education which is far superior to gold

Through my poems.

Creation, protection, and destruction belong

to both God and poets.

I neither surrender to the rich nor to the poor.

I am not scared of the sword held by the powerful.

My duty is to point out what is right and what is not.

If it is wrong, it is my duty to stand against it

through my poems.
