Homecoming
Homecoming
Wheeling round and round
At dizzying heights,
Like a black spot in the sun
The eagle searches for her nest.
Blinking on! Now blinking off!
Through that dark pulsating heart of her pain,
Her love radiates like cosmic waves,
A whirling juggernaut, around
The swinging barycenter of the
Galaxy. Charred in the furnace of her
Passion, she blasts her soul out
To the farthest edges of her darkest hour:
Reeling and twisting, agonising in vain,
Gone in the blaze of a million suns
Back to her love. She's home again.
