He Who Taught Me
He Who Taught Me
He knows what he wants,
And he knows where it lie,
He knows about the hurdles,
But he's a pirate sly.
With a smile on his lips,
And tumble to his walk,
Adjusting his tricorne
To his men he talks.
"Aye!" Cried Gibbs,
"Aye!" Cried them all,
And they embarked on the Black Pearl,
At once at his call.
It is Captain Jack Sparrow,
Who taught me to be,
Determined and confidant.
And not chicken out and flee.
Despite all the odds,
He taught me to smile.
He taught me to seek my goal,
In his own tipsy style.
He taught me to win hearts,
The way he won all theirs.
And he made me a person,
Who loves and who cares.
From Stranger Tides to World's End,
He sails in all his style,
With determination in his head,
And on his lips, a smile.
