Happy Diwali
Happy Diwali
Amidst the claustrophobic fierce of the festive atomic,
That redden the soul of peaceful ones,
The sparkles, wanting to give a hope, sheepishly mock,
At a bare chested pizza,
Adorned with arteries and veins of-
Tomatoes, paneer, broccoli, olives,
And the shades of yellow, red ladies made of pepper, that escort,
The bubbles of pepper corn, the home grown bhutta,
Dazzled with the coronation akin, the silky smoothness,
Borrowed from Italy, the spread cheese.
An over pour of lime, though,
Moistens, dampens, bursts it all.
My smoke filled eyes, wish a drop to fall,
But then, a phosphorus filled tornado, spoils it all.
The flying tripod mocks at me,
“Thank you Sir, Happy Diwali”
