Happily Ever After
Happily Ever After
Gazing at the sky through the caged window,
She felt the cold breeze touch her face.
All those memories rushing back at once,
A warm tear escaped her eyes.
She remembered his beautiful face,
His brown eyes were a cynosure for her eyes,
The witty smile when he flirts with her,
And his warm hug which makes her forget everything else.
Those late night long drives after each fight,
Laughing at the poor jokes he made,
Kissing her on the forehead every time she felt low,
Dancing crazily on their favorite songs.
But now she stood there alone,
She filled the void in her heart with his memories.
Before his last breath, he said “I am always beside you”,
And those words were the only thing that kept her going.
Death wasn’t enough to keep them apart,
She was biding her time until they meet again.
She wiped her tears and embraced herself,
After all, this isn’t a tragic story, it is a happily ever after.
