Beyond the blue
Beyond the blue
One dark, stormy night
A youth steered
Off-course at sea.
In vain he tried all his might
But forever lost, was he.
As morning came
A nubile nymph
Riding the surf
Saw the golden lad unconscious
In a boat adrift mid-sea.
The gentle nymph silenced the winds,
Broke the waves
And carried him
Under the seven seas.
The lad opened his eyes and gazed in wonder
At the beguiling sight.
An iridescent, ultramarine world
More beautiful than any he had seen,
A nymph with midnight blue eyes
Tenderly holding him.
'Where am I?' he whispered.
'Atlantis', said she.
'The magnificent lost city
Under the sea'.
