Trepidations
Trepidations
No more were there quiet nights
The silence was overtaken by the venomous fight.
Fight… for power and supremacy,
Kindled by hatred and jealousy.
Fumes soared from the valley green
Blemished lay the beauteous scene.
Horror and fright engulfed the town,
When people walked with trepidations and frown.
Days passed into months, months into years,
War never ended, nor did the perpetual fear.
Hopes for better future looked bleak,
As the war was at its highest peak.
Tired was each and every soul
So, they searched for peace as a goal.
But their ego said, ‘Stop not,
The war has to be fought.’
Now the situation be,
There aren’t any towns and trees.
For the war razed down every single being
A frightful sight it brought, not worth seeing.
The egos had dissolved in pain
When from eyes tears did rain.
How it wished to have stopped the fight
And saved everyone from the dreadful plight.
