A thirst boiled in and swallowed me up,
I parched my throat begging for a drop
Nor the well, nor the dam
Bothered to patch up my dwindled slaver
"Water water everywhere, not a drop to drink "
Boards I saw, words I read, but not a moment to think!
Now a day has quenched me out, made me faint,
And in addition, rue has shred me down
The doors of heaven
Begin to open, all the seven
I feel glad to go up there,
But a thought haunts - "Will I find some water there?"
