Growing Up As Human

Growing Up As Human

“Wrong” is wrong on the ground of colour, sex, or continent,

There is history of commission of rape, rejection of humanity.

There must be guarantee protection of truth and self-preservation,

For everyone “wrong,” should not be committed by a human.

Growing up as human in true colors requires certain things,

First necessity of every human is to accept his or her responsibilities.

Yes, and yes for fulfilling burden life doesn’t allow having fun,

To take a vow to grow up, one is to quit treating the fun.

To grow up, is to take every weight of responsibility,

There can be no argument nor denial about performing it.

Responsibility is always for every human a weight,

And at times there may be performance of very heavy weight.

Growing old is mandatory, but growing up as human is optional.

It is because taking the burden or responsibility is hard to all.

I think in my mind, what the society expect from me,

Worried about no one but myself and to be for others carefree.

In the context of working through trials, James wrote:

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete,

"Lacking nothing” And you will find,

you have become man of mature character.”

In world, history reveals in life numerous problems,

We also experience terrible interpersonal problems.

That were created by brethren, who are immature,

Fighting, arguing and creating constant undertow of impatience with one another.

A major problem is the improper use of our own tongue,

In this background, I see division in the religion and ways of life.

Some have the desire to get for self and only satisfy self.

Problems were caused by, or heavily influenced by lack of humanity.

I ask a question to me,

Is it possible that some of these things apply to me also?

Then how can I determine my level of own maturity?

It is not easy for a baby eaglet to learn how to fly in sky,

To be a mature eagle, it is necessity to learn how to grow up to fly.

We were born to live as mature human in each life,

It isn’t easy for anybody including me to mature mentally to that life.

I am to learn how to accomplish the most meaningful things in life.

It is hard to look at myself & make assessment of my living life.

I am to ask few questions that will help:

Am I becoming more patient in life’s little tests as well as larger trials?

Do I play around with temptation, or resist with all my strength acting on my conscience from the start?

Do I truly find joy in obeying natural laws?

Or

Do I obey grudgingly, or perhaps just read and hear about it without really practicing it?

How well do I control my tongue and my thoughts?

Can I see improvement in this over the years?

Closely related to that, how careful am I about gossip and rumors?

Am I quick to criticise another or to spread malicious “stories”?

Am I a peacemaker, or does trouble seemingly to follow me around?

Am I more generous or more selfish?

How do I manage my time, finances and possessions?

Am I willing to share or give if needed, or am I stingy with any or all of the above?

Do I always and immediately go to God when trials come, seeking His help and wisdom?

Do I give much thought to the example I set for others?

Am I constantly aware that the things I say and do reflect in my work?

So, it’s not hard to look around and see in this notion,

There are many people today who approach life like fun.
