Grandpa

Grandpa

She sat by the lake, sunset fed solace into her;

She walked beside the flowerbed, the Lilies did not seem happy either;

The Ice cream boy came to her- a frail smile on his face,he would only need to hand down one ice lolly now?

She missed her grandpa’s hand on her pink cap!

She sobbed into his old shirt;she held onto his remnants;

No one and nothing else mattered;

Destiny had tricked her, taking away her loving grandpa;

She only had memories to look back!

 Death is devastating - it leaves an irreplaceable void;

Death is the harsh, unflinching truth of life;

Death waits for none,

Only "we" wait for time to heal.
