Golden Cage
Golden Cage
You gave me a Golden Cage
Dolling & Rolling inside it, I pass my days
That was the day when I entered this home
You gifted me this cylindrical dome
This line gives me the first laugh of the day
When I remember you saying you are my golden bird from the bay
I was brought to be enclosed within this bar
I wanted to fly but you kept me inside this jar
My whole body ached in anger
When I see this cage of amber
I flutter up and down inside it in a creed
For how long are you going to captive me inside to bleed
What if the cage is golden
I seek life without my smile being stolen
Oh, Heavenly! I am weeping on the floor
Gazing with the heavy eyelids over the padlocked door
Grant me my freedom I know you can
Please don’t strike as an icy and remorseless man
I am distressed about performing on your stage
I want to dwell independently outside your cage
Here is the soul bleeding heart-wrenching story of mine
I mourn for my lost exemption, it’s never gone be fine
You turned my life to taste all bitterness to age
Set my dreams on fire, I jolted out of my rage
Jaws dropped at the end
Tears strolled down as I bend
Either let me live or let me die
Don’t kill me every day and leave me to cry
