“Man and Woman are equal”

That disguised man described.

A big round of applause

And equality slogans

Then…

Echoed in the sky.

 

To marginalise my existence

That pretender

Offered

“Fenced off narrow space” me to fly

I smiled and refused

As my dreams were quite high.

 

Tracing the fight for equality,

I know I’m

Strong - passionate and

Blessed with the gift of gab

It might be the patriarchal society

But I’m not the one; to get trapped

 

That Hollow man

Criticised me as he thought

I could be “Cowed into subjugation”

But how could he forgot that

I’m god’s precious creation,
