Freedom

A time, when the country woke up to the hymns of transcendence,

To this day we question twice to send our daughters out with confidence.

And Happy seventy first year of independence !

I woke up last morning to find the papers say " lynched" ,

Oh ! The freedom fighters , come back and say them- "Nationalism like this, Cannot be preached".

A time, when the country woke up to the hymns of transcendence,

With the negativity all around,

The country makes its presence feel round.

The strength being integrity,

The weakness being pessimism,

Let the fire burn till the dawn,

The nation is new

Milestones are more to few,

We fall; we rise but never break,

The values inhibited within say-

"It took a lot of sweat and blood dear,

Rise your country without fear".
