Few Words From A Man

Few Words From A Man

Let's sing, let's laugh, let's drink, let's dance.

You live with this motto, what do you expect your children to learn?

You preach charity, to respect women you teach.

And then you are in the dance bars, for the bodies your hands could reach.

I hear your 12 year old son swearing, most likely hitting your wife.

May be it's in the family, insulting women being a rife.

You gang up by the roadside, with hungry eyes justifying being a 'Man'.

But your wife needs to stay awake for you and your daughter needs to be asleep by ten.

You beat up couples in the parks, even in indoors they should not make love.

You shame them publicly, and grope her in pretext of a shove.

You say - Sex before marriage is a taboo, it's not in our culture.

But rape as a punishment? What allows you to act like vultures?

When these news were fresh - I was worried about my sister and my friends.

But when it is a new born and a 70 year old - the agony never ends.

Now on the street I walk with my head down - feeling ashamed as well as scared.

Lest I face some woman, because as 'rapists' our gender now stands smeared.
