Month of Chaitra

Sacrifices will be performed

Today at the shrine of

Mother Taratarini.

Today is not Gahma purnima

When animals are sacrificed.

Today is not Maha Bisuba Sankranti

That sacrifices will be performed

On the feet of mother Kali.

Even today is not Raja Sankranti

Which sacrifices will be offered

To  Mother Simhasani.

For the sake of our forefathers

The new moon  month of Karttika

All over India during the year.

On the day when sacrifices are

Made to the previous men with lamps

That day is our very happy festival

Of lights and once is a year

By offering lamp sacrifice 

To the eldest person.

Lord Ramachandra killed Ravan

And returned  to  Ayodhya

Permanently, and leaving

Ravan 's brother  Bibhisan

In charge of  Lanka.

Today we celebrate  Diwali

By remembering those happy

Memories of the past.

Diwali is one  of the most

Beloved and celebrated
