We were in love with each other,

We still are and we both know it

And so do the people around us.

Ideally, we should have been standing beside each other

With hands held tight and eyes shining with love. 

But here we are -

Standing across each other,

With swords drawn and a huge battlefield separating us

A vast army, ready to kill or die on one order, behind each one of us. 

I have to kill you even if it kills me

Even if my own death seems more joyous than even a scratch on you,

Your condition is no better.

But we both know, we have no choice. 

We are born enemies -

Hopelessly in love with each other.

Whoever wins this battle,

We are fated to lose...
