Falling Apart!

Falling Apart!

What do I miss more, the smell of you lingering against the fresh linens?

I find that curly strand of your hair lying there quietly on the headstand,

I wonder how your presence made the air placid, it came naturally to you.

I sense the humdrum of this night, for my ears can’t pick up that frenzied laughter I always found annoying,

Neither those whispers played to calm down or incite me, but their promise did work, magically.

Those freckled arms, those weary legs, those sublime eyes, that poppy brow, those ticklish spots, them mushy lips, faded away now.

All of that, faded away, falling apart but never to be withered!
