Fading
Fading
When I was young,
Love, was in abundance,
Resources limited.
I made memories,
But learned to live frugally.
Then, I got married,
With dreams in my eyes,
A new journey started.
There was love, but,
Resources limited.
Responsibilities, siblings, progeny,
I gave what I had,
Sometimes, more than I had.
I gave myself.
Now I am aging,
I have no dreams,
No desires either.
Energies draining,
Memory fading.
But, resources abundant,
O mighty Universe,
We don't get what we desire.
You hold my hand in need,
The only thing I now aspire.
