Eyes That Can See

Your eyes can’t speak of lies

They tell me many stories

Full of joy, despair, and ceaseless worries

Of bondage, freedom, and many ties.

In your vision, I see a land of peace

Hatred and division, the time has come for all that to cease.

I can imagine that one world you long for

I can see that we have come a long way

 And what remains is not too far.

Still, I can see the remnants of fear

Remembrance of Hathras, you shed a tear.

Blinded in their bigotry, unleashing their brutality

Can they ever see the vision you can see?
