Expectation From Future

Plagued by corruption and anarchy,

Living in a society of patriarchy.

Have we really progressed as a nation?

Or is it a figment of our imagination?

Are we law abiding citizens?

Or plain and ignorant netizens.

Pressurizing children to perform well,

In academics makes their life a hell.

They attempt to end their life,

To get relief from anxiety and strife.

Gender and caste discrimination,

Require immediate eradication.

Basic education is the need of the hour,

To prevent the gross misuse of power.

Corruption and communal violence,

Cannot be tolerated in silence.

I hope we would be still alive,

To see peace and prosperity thrive.

In our country for a long time.

May there be a gradual decline in crime.
