Everything, In Time

Everything, In Time

//Jan 9, 2018.

It's six in the evening, and

I see this lovely boy from my balcony,

the one with the moon in

his hands, and the stars in his eyes.

I look above and

my heart screams from within - "can I take a picture of you?", he is the sky and

I want to fly to the clouds.

Everything, in time, that's what I have learnt over time and again.

One stranger after another.

One heartbreak after another.

One muse after another.

I have been falling in love with

every trespasser for one reason

or another, mostly restlessness,

loneliness, and just some other momentary reasons.

I take a picture of him,

run back to my home and create a

portrait out of it,

the portrait is actually a

poetry which is not really a poetry,

but just a five letter word, P-E-A-C-E,

and I wonder what can be more

terrifying than being in love with peace

for I have been reading that true love is a total chaos. What if this is not love and just another escape? //

//Everything, in time, that's what I found out during all those nights, the true meaning of this proverb.

One encounter after another.

One kiss after another.

One infinity after another.

I am falling in love with this new

stranger, for no specific reasons,

not for the moon, not for the sun, not for the stars, not for the light, not for the clouds,

but only for him. //

//April 9, 2021.

It's seven in the evening, and

we are on a date at my terrace,

he is standing tall with clouds

over his shoulders, and light across his face.

It's been exactly two hours and

we are still tied in an awkward silence,

I break the ritual and ask him shyly -

"can I take a picture of you?",

he nods his head in a yes,

I click a picture of us while kissing

him near the mole on his lips

with a grin on my face.

And that's how another day

comes to an end.

Everything in time, that's what I have learnt over time and again.

One day after another.

One night after another.

One lesson after another.

I have been falling in love with every

moment,

for finding love is easier than finding reasons, and,

for finding love is easier than finding someone to love.

And that's how I fell in love with the

shadow of the sky.//
