Euthanasia

Superficial smiles and simpering vanities,

Blatantly flaunt what done in enmities.

Insanity rule their vanity,

Though, they have too much sanity.

Adorned with pollution’s haze,

They live inside a dead maze.

Having the sky gleaming with fatal fumes,

They have become the tools of the tools.

Incessantly detracting the fossil fuels,

The cruels have devised a new jewel.

Choking the oesophagus of many beings,

They illustrate their own ceilings.

Being deaf to their pleadings,

They carry out their dealings.

Ignorant to their afflictions,

They carry on with addiction.

Gone was the opulence of Earth,

Now remains the bowels of dearth -

With charred grains and coated glass,

Exhibiting the idols of brass;

With melting ice caps in their heyday,

Crossing a tipping point every day;

With parched land and scorched sand,

Breaking the records on both ends.

Mass extinction will come soon,

To write the dirge on their doom.

Anthropogenic will soon become divine,

Awarding damnation in some kind.

They have advanced to euthanasia,

Which won’t be forgotten in amnesia –

As they have used up all ambrosia.
