Self poised in the vacuum of world,
Living a life of featherless bird,
Presuming to be absolutely free,
I am like a lofty tree:
That belongs to the materialistic world,
Not to the sacred primitive world;
That is standing all alone,
Without any pleading or mourn;
That is cold to all emotions,
Not idolized with any devotion;
That is alienated from its fruits,
Bearing them for wicked and cutes;
That is now bereft of mirth,
Plundered by tribulations and dearth;
That flourishes in oblivion,
And does not want any companion;
That listens to its silent screams,
But doesn’t have a sweet dream;
That is succumbed to attitude,
And does not yearn for multitude;
That bears a single face,
In this world of rat race;
That embodies all the virtues,
Beneath the cage of its sinews;
That is full in itself,
And apt for every shelf.
Have mercy! O mankind.
Try to be a little more kind.
Bring back the humane grace.
Don’t become a blot on the race.
