Eternal

Amidst the melancholy,

Amidst the vexation,

He held her tender, quivering hand and swore to never let go.

Amidst the doubt,

Amidst the fret,

He stood like a stone wall.

Amidst all the anxieties,

Amidst all the panic attacks,

He kept her close to his heart, constantly evoking her that she's not alone.

She’s not alone when the fierce conjectures of society muddle up her thoughts and painfully infect her soul, rupturing every part of her.

She knew that without his presence

She'd be incomplete and wrecked.

Was this love eternal? She wondered.

With the days getting darker,

His witty jokes pepped her up.

With the increasing engulfing action of pessimism,

He knew just how to comfort her.
