The Sky is the Limit
The Sky is the Limit
The sky is the limit
Is what we were told
As we watched our stories unfold
They say we were born with wings
They say we were born to fly But didn't Icarus fall when he tried to touch the sky?
As I burn through my days my thoughts go astray
I wonder how many of us tried
And how many failed
And yet every time we fell we got up to face,
All the challenges that lied ahead with a mighty embrace
We fell, we cried, we dreamt, we tried
The sky is the limit, but what if we're scared to fly?
What if we fall in this world where everyone pries?
What if I'm afraid to try?
Will I be able to soar the highest seas, and sail the oceans wide?
Roam the tallest mountains, my head held high with pride?
The sky is the limit
But what if there are other paths that bring joy to my life?
Isn't it my choice where my destiny lies?
Or should I follow the path the other's walked and rob my dreams dry?
But what glory will I find?
I will choose my own path, form my own fate
One which no one else dared to create
I will choose the route with the rockiest terrain
I will walk through swamps and blossom through rain
The sky is the limit, a height I'll reach through the path I pave.
