THE RAY
THE RAY
Sea of red crystals below my feet stretched on far until infinity
One gaze up to see an oasis of swirling golden brink,
A clue to put my parchment to ink.
Smooth and serene: An illusion of touch, dragged me drown overmuch.....
Submerged under the ocean, lighted by bioluminescent creatures' motion,
There were conjoined tentacles afloat.
But I was enthralled by the pearl on coral to quote
Dazzlingly perfect: An illusion of beauty, whisked me away haughty.....
Frozen was the palace of mirrors- like truth humiliating errors
A million reflections I saw- each more stunning and deadly.
The hallway exploded, the shards of glass piercing my heart crudely
Instinctively mine: An illusion of hope, this time I held on to the rope.....
