Envy

I was jealous,

With his loyalty,

The care and love he got,

I felt discontented for being me,

I envied him for all that,

He had in him,

Be it the qualities,

His charming smile,

I was worried that I might,

Start hating him,

There was this instinct,

That said I might be a threat for his survival,

I distanced myself,

Then I started to envy,

The neighbor near me,

It was then I realized,

I had to change,

It was my mind that lost its step.
