The Beast

With the mind reaching a state of oblivion,

John sat there besides the thymes,

Christmas was approaching,

As the jingle bells tingled in his ears,

With the lake so sublime he flecked pebbles and watched the ripples,

John stopped throwing and once looked into the waters,

The water so dark that the reflection was not seen,

With his heart thumping wildly he was about to run,

That the threat was evident as there was a rumbling in the otherwise silent lake,

From the murky depths the heinous beast ascended from the waters,

Its screech shattered my eardrums,

As it went inside me.
