Eclipse

I’m the Sun,

I breathe fire, I shine,

 I burn all by myself,

But I also provide light,

He is the Moon,

So beautiful, so cold, so hollow,

People write poems about him, sing songs for him,

I let him shine with my light,

Because he is so empty and full of darkness,

 He too lets me hide behind him when the trouble comes,

And that’s when we eclipse the whole world,

People marvel when they see us together,

Everyone lines up just to see us together,

And that my darling is the beauty of us.
