Dusk and Dawn

Morning rays just hit my face,

Frozen winds began to unfroze,

The morning dews was still up,

And my watch kept ticking...

He would come now,

Won't he?

Or did I mistake his words for?,

And my watch kept ticking...

Shadows began to vanish,

As sun shone high,

Sweats kept running through my cheeks,

And my watch kept ticking...

Sun reached his home,

Me still standing waiting,

For him, wind freezing up,

And my watch kept ticking...

 

It's mid night, the moon shone up,

The stars glared at me,

My lips froze up as each breath pass by,

And my watch kept ticking...

He never came,

He will never,

He won't,

Will he ever,

I questioned myself,

As my watch kept ticking and ticking and ticking.....
