Down the Street

Unknown

Unseen

I walked down the  street

Not in my street

Not on my bus stop

Not in my park

Who is this stranger

Staring at me?

My pulse starts racing

I turn back to the unknown 

When I peep back

He has vanished without a trace

Not on my left 

Or right

My pulse slows down

I start walking down the street

Slowly again.

The stranger leans against a wall

He nods and gives a smile 

My heart is in my mouth 

I walk forward quickly

That night the stranger’s 

Smile makes me think 

And my heart starts to pound 

There is a feeling of 

Something developing 

Between me 

And the stranger

The feeling of hatred
