Down The Aisle She Walks
Down The Aisle She Walks
Brought her blue scarfs
And matching loafers
They hopped on the beat
Until it was over
She slept and
He waited outside in his rover
With the smile so perfect
And the perfect weather
Off they go on the road
To the city for a dinner
Coats and boots and
Winters kept them closer
On the table underneath
Towards the corner
There was a hand with a crimson box
Which has a band of gold or maybe silver
He said he’ll care and
She doesn’t have to suffer
All alone, he wanted her to stay
‘til they were sober
“Let’s talk in the morning”
He thought it might be bitter
Next day she calls and says, “Yes”
He wakes up and finds a note with a flower.
