Dear Husband
Dear Husband
Married to him for eight years,
An arranged marriage it was,
Some days were about gifts,
Flowers, chocolates and love,
Other days were about fights,
Pushing, abuse and hatred,
They had love but not enough
To keep them together,
On their sixth month anniversary
She got detected a chronic disease,
But he was by her side,
On their two year anniversary
She dealt with depression,
He stayed calm for her,
On their four year anniversary
She lost her one year old baby,
And he blamed her,
On their six year anniversary
She dealt with panic attacks,
But he got irritated and distant,
She was strong and fierce,
She endured all the pain,
The love was fading away
And so was the trust,
So on ninth anniversary
She said
" Dear Husband
It's not working,
I want divorce",
That's when everything ended,
The marriage was over,
They were free from cufflinks
Of relationship,
A wind of peace surrounds them,
A new sunrise seemed beautiful
And refreshing.
