Day Two (Still No Cue)

Day Two (Still No Cue)

And so ends day two,

Still waiting for a reply from you.

Have you turned into a ghost?

You’re not being much of a host.

What can I say — maybe I’m not worth your time,

Or you’re a banker who won’t spare a dime.

But they say try, try, try till your brain is fried —

I’ll do the same till your reply’s supplied!

Whatcha doing that’s got you so busy?

Relax, it’s just me — don’t get dizzy.

In this game of life, we win or we learn —

Take a break, have a KitKat — feel concern!

I’m worried you’ll lose all your silky hair,

Grow wrinkles on your pretty face — beware!

You’ll look like an auntie sipping tea,

Not the young Barbie you used to be!

So listen to me — come on, hit the brake.

You know exactly what’s at stake!

Grab your damn phone and send that reply,

Or I’ll keep pestering till you scream “WHY GOD, WHY?!”
