Cries Of A Lonely Heart

The night is staring at me

As aloof I remain

The darkness sees that the light fails to see

As the silence drives me insane.

The stars shine bright in the night sky

Depicting that they are all together 

But the truth that does lie

Says they are far far away from one another.

 

Here I am, staring at the walls

Thousands of stories to share

Silently watching as the night stalls

Wondering who will ever care!

The sun, the moon, even the stars that shine

All seemingly close but zillions of miles apart

Shows the truth of yours and mine

Each with a lonely heart
