My dearest God,

When I stopped asking you,

You started giving me

Things I never knew

When I kept giving my best

You asked me to rest

Resting I never knew

When I had friends to share

You said life is unfair

Parting them I never knew

You gave me a child

With whom I was wild

Distancing that I never knew

My dearest God

You gave me wisdom

But snatched away health

Isolating dreams I never knew

You tested me enough

Ensure I raise in strength

The Power within I never knew

My dearest God

You push things dreaded

Testing my resilience

The strongness I never knew

My dearest God

You gave me utter silence

That thoughts fear to raise

You often test me true

For that when I knew

That you are around me new
