Companion
Companion

As I grow old,
You challenge me each day.
To delve and introspect,
The layers within.
The ruffled feelings underlying.
Speaking the unspoken.
Desire, may not be a priority,
Ecstasy, not a want.
Some souls are pure,
Some relationships are wholesome.
Above the societal norms,
Only affection in their hearts,
Walking hand in hand,
They talk a lot.
Some conversations,
Those spiritual discussions.
Some funny anecdotes,
On those digital walks.
With love and no lust,
Some deep-seated emotions.
How does it matter?
What name the society gives,
If you are the companion I ever want.
