Colours Of Autumn

Copper glazed leaves float down the trees, 

Reds and yellows rustle in the breeze.

The fall season paints the Earth in bright hues,

This picturesque scene adds to an artist’s muse.

Earth is changing and does its monochrome colour fling,

Leaves on the trees turn orange and dusty pink.

A carpet of vibrant colours spreads out under our feet,

It’s a feast for the eyes and a delectable treat!

The fall is Nature’s way of giving us a clue, 

That life has to be lived and given its due. 

Even as the leaves are preparing to be cast off,

To the creator, the dying leaf still its hat - doffs! 

Every season has its own mystique,

The fall in its full glory does our interest piqued. 

If withering can be so ethereal and real,

Surely setbacks in life are no big deal?

The fall season for us is a reality check, 

However enchanting, it is ultimately at time’s call and beck!

Precious things in life come with their own expiry date, 

Likewise, It’s for us to enjoy and stop the whine!
