Clarion Call Of A Tiger
Clarion Call Of A Tiger
The speech of Tipu Sultan at his last battle as a poem
All praise to God. Peace upon all of you!
Dear b'loved soldiers,
Staring at me now you art!
Know I, what is in your heart!
Today I am not of king’s sort,
But takes in battle a soldier’s part!
Reason to this turn I tell you now;
Even if I cut into pieces not you woe;
All of thou like kings fight thy foe;
E’en our dead bodies before them n’er
Bow!
Fearing death, if anyone is here,
To them I tell these words to hear,
Death is not far but too near,
This is a fact that is very clear.
A life of a sheep in a herd is unworthy
Even if span, upto decades twenty!
A tiger’s life of two days to thee
In a&nb
sp;jungle wild is full of glee!
To insect, to bug, to worm and to bird
To fox, to wolf, to lion, and leopard
Death is the only ultimate shepherd
He will make us this life pasture desert
Thy death is not of an aged bedridden
That should not be lay dark hidden
Then it solely should have smitten
Your life itself with words blood written
It is thy mother, your enemy harass
Ignoring that will you pass?
This land is our mother, Alas!
Protest and fight them in mass!
A life of a sheep in a herd is unworthy
Even if span, unto decades twenty!
A tiger’s life of two days to thee
In a jungle wild is full of glee!
So my soldiers be ready to war
Death is not so far!
Inqulab zindabad!
India zindabad!
