Childhood

Childhood

1 min 125 1 min 125

Sitting at window side,

When I was a child,

I loved the rain,

The voice of which blessed me,

The beauty of which soothes my heart,

The odour of soil wet by rain pampers my nose,

The way trees dance in rain,

The way animals jump in rain,

Gives me an imagination of heaven,

The way we all kids wet our clothes in rain,

The creativity of making boats and floating in rainwater,

And playing for hours in rain,

This all on recalling make my eyes rainy,

But now I am a grown up,

Now also rain evokes excitement in me,

But this excitement is quite different,

Now when it's raining,

I am busy at work,

Sometimes the indulgence in work is so much,

That I can't even know whether it's raining,

And even on knowing,

I get panicked for going home,

For rain would wet me,

Now I am concerned that I should not wet,

Because I have to go for work tomorrow,

On my way to home,

Then again a moment comes,

When I recall my old rainy memories,

But this time I can't do anything,

Except for a big smile with raining eyes!!!!!
